Our insurance program includes coverage for liability caused and damage to rental vehicles in this case. DO purchase the additional third-party liability insurance and the collision damage waiver or physical damage coverage from the rental car counter if renting outside of the US, regardless of where the employee is based. If you are a non-US employee renting a car in your home country, the additional coverage is still required. If there is damage to the rental car, the rental agencies outside the USA will charge the credit card used to make the reservation with an estimated amount of repair costs if insurance is not purchased.
